Welcome to the Washington Interagency Incident Management Team 2 website.   Rex Reed with the Department of Natural Resources serves as the Incident Commander and Chris Schulte with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service serves as the Deputy Incident Commander on the team.  Team members include a wide variety of federal, state, county and local agencies that come together to manage all-risk emergency incidents, but predominantly manage the many wildfires throughout the Pacific Northwest Region.  The Incident Command System (ICS) is the management system and command structure used to direct all operations at the incident scene.   More than 45 members are part of the Washington Interagency Incident Management Team 2.

 

 

 

 

Mission Statement

 

Continuously  Protect And  Preserve  Life And Property Through Community Awareness, Preparedness Information, And Rapid, Professional Emergency Response For All-Hazard Incidents.

 

 

 

Team Objectives

 

Provide a safe, effective and cooperative organization to an agency in need of assistance for the management of the all-risk emergency incidents.

 

Provide a healthy, safe environment that will minimize the impact of the incident on the agency and community we serve.

 

Maintain a professional attitude and performance for the duration of the assignment by promoting and maintaining good communications, respect for all Team Members and a safe work environment for all involved.

 

Provide for Firefighter safety by utilizing the LCES (Lookouts, Communications, Escape routes, Safety zones) checklist, following the 10 Standard Fire Orders and mitigate any of the Watch Out Situations for all incidents.
